What's your company really worth? StrategyBridgeAI at WTS Advisory in Munich

On 15 June 2026, our CEO Deniz Schütz and colleague Maximilian Schöner joined an exclusive half-day event on sustainable company value creation, hosted by WTS Advisory at their villa in Munich.

The event brought together four perspectives that rarely sit in the same room: finance, organisation, tax, and market. Speakers included Nikolai Üstündag, Dr. Heiko Frank, Christian Schiessl, Kai Hesselmann (DUB.de), and Deniz.

What Deniz covered

Deniz's session focused on a question that sounds simple but rarely gets a rigorous answer in practice: how do you actually determine what a company is worth, and how do you prove it?

The core of the answer lies in comparison. A valuation only becomes defensible when it is grounded in a peer group that genuinely reflects the company's business model, not just its industry code. That is where most traditional approaches fall short.

Identifying comparable companies and data. AI models can systematically scan the market to identify all relevant participants and build a comparable earnings base. The result is a peer group that reflects actual structural similarity rather than broad sector classification.

Enabling real benchmarking. Comparing a company against structurally similar peers makes it possible to assess where it actually stands: on margins, growth, capital efficiency, and resilience. That kind of realistic positioning is the foundation of any credible valuation conversation.

Recognising structural patterns. Data-driven analysis surfaces the patterns that matter for value, margin stability, scalability, and dependencies that either support or put pressure on the multiple a company can command.

Why this matters beyond the event

Valuation is not just a finance exercise. It shapes how owners think about their business, how acquirers price risk, and how advisors position a company for a transaction or succession. Getting the peer group right is not a technical detail. It is often the difference between a valuation that holds up under scrutiny and one that does not.
